Beach Step Replacement - Pebbleside Beach Steps
The bottom section of concrete steps leading onto the beach had been washed away by recent storms. The only access was from the road 8 meters above.
With a lane closure in place we mobilized our Liebherr 922 16m long reach excavator to lift plant and materials down onto the beach.
The remains of the concrete steps were broken up and removed from the beach.
A new foundation slab was cast and timber shuttering that was built on site was lifted into place. The new steps were cast in one section for maximum strength.
